The monitor I have is a digital monitor. My question is: do the monitor driver files control this property or is that something the video card controls? Another Multiple Display Question
The monitor is not PnP and the system I'm using it on now is running Win. 3.1 but the new system will have Win. 95 runing. My question is will need the monitor drivers from the old system in order for the monitor to operate on the new system? Or will I need a new set of drivers for Win. 95? Or will Win.

Next question, do you have proper drivers for your monitor or are you just running one of windows "default" monitor drivers (right click on desktop-> display properties->settings- display). If not, installing an actual driver for your monitor might help. HTH Stella.

OPTIMAL is the "highest" refresh rate that your monitor drivers (.INF file) supports. If you have the wrong monitor drivers, you may be attempting to run the monitor at a higher refresh rate than it can support, causing the shaking/tremors you described. You only need a refresh rate of about 85.
